What I am going to share with you in this book could never have been discovered by academics locked away in a university dept, market researchers, newspaper columnists, or 'pop psychologists'. It is the product of spending around 30,000 hours (twenty years) face to face with clients in a relaxed hypnotic state, whilst they share, from their subconscious minds, what is really making them tick. So this book isn't based upon my observations of ten or twelve people, or some research I stumbled across (though I have, wherever possible, included relevant research to support what I am sharing with you) or the hundreds of self-help books I have read over the years. It is based on real insights into the way we think, feel, and process experiences that I have been lucky enough to gain, from the thousands of clients I have worked with.

"Cured of emetophobia - a fear of being sick/ ill"
"I had suffered with emetophobia (a huge fear of being sick) for the last twenty years, and it was ruining my life: I couldn't go out, couldn't get a boyfriend, was obsessional about what I ate, and lived a life full of anxiety. "All I can say is that after understanding the technique in this book I totally rid myself of my life-long fear of flying.
My usual flying routine used to be something like this
- Feeling sick for a week beforehand
- Not sleeping the night before
- Spending most of the few hours before the flight in the lavatory
- Clutching a rosary and saying a good few Hail Marys on take off
- More fervent prayers if the plane banked or hit turbulence
- Listening out for every tiny noise the aircraft made and being paralysed with fear if the engine note changed
- A feeling of total euphoria as I stepped off of the plane at the other end
After following Rob Kelly's tedchnique I breezed through the preparation for my flight and on take off was actually looking out of the window and chatting happily to my partner. "If you are reading this, someone has probably recommended changing limited beliefs to you. Don't think about it,ponder about it, talk about it, just buy it now and read it, it will change your life. In january 2011, I was diagnosed with depression, 2 months later and im off anti-depressants and high as a kite on life! "It's hard to believe it, but I haven't worked or enjoyed life for more than twelve years. I was first diagnosed with 'glandular fever', then post-viral-fatigue-syndrome, then eventually ME. I don't know - or really care now - what it was. "I bought this book a few months ago as it was recommended by a friend. I felt very low at the time and completely lost as to how to work out the direction that my life would take me. I felt i had not control about any decisions and felt so powerless. I started going through this book a little at a time. I bought some different coloured high lighters and went through it bit by bit underlining and highlighting all the parts that were ME! i thought the book was written especially for me and couldnt beleive it. It made such sense of the way i was feeling but most of all WHY i was feeling the way I did. The most startling part of it was the fact that it was my thinking that was causing the problem and when i finally got that - I knew that I was the one who could change it. That insight was pretty fantastic. It nmeant i could have a life free from anti depressants, sorrow and poor choices. It really is quite unbelievable and very easy to read. Obviously there were some parts that were beyond me (limited education) but not as much as i alwasy thought. I understood it the more i read it. I will be telling as many people as i can to buy the book - even if it gives you some understanding as to how your mind ticks.
I think that the schools should be bringing this to the young children and educating them at an early age how there thinking affects their emotions and actions. It is quite staggering!!!" Michael

"I have read many self help books in the past, all claiming to 'change your life' and all of them with exercises dedicated to this goal. These techniques only ever seemed to last a few weeks with me, and then I would either forget or believe it wasn't working so stop.
However, Rob's book is completely different to any book I've ever read. For a start, I completely understand it! He writes in a way which makes you feel at ease when you're reading it. When I first met Rob I had been suffering with 'depression' for almost 3yrs. I had been through numerous counsellors, given pills from the Dr and seen a life coach, and although I would feel better for a short period the depressed feelings and anxiety would always come back! I was beginning to believe that this was just the way I was, I was beyond help and I would live my life this way forever, I felt entirely helpless and in honesty would rather be dead; there's my 'limiting beliefs' right there!!
Rob said to me on our first meeting that in just 4 weeks I would not feel depressed anymore and even better I would never go back to that state of mind again. I must admit, I had my reservations (ooh, another limiting belief!!) but I was more than willing to go for it and see what would happen. And, unsurprisingly to Rob, I am not depressed anymore - I feel amazing! "Amazing how easily this works !!!!!!" "I have used this workbook after seeing Rob Kelly himself for a number of times as I am overcoming something that is caused by limiting beliefs.
Quite simply, this works. Imagine when you go to the gym how you know you will see results eventually, if you just do it, it works, end of. Well the same with this book, if you read through the chapters and do the simple exercises, it's amazing just how easily this changes things that you didn't even know you thought.
Put it this way, how do you think Lance Armstrong has achieved what he has achieved? overcome the impossible? with the same belief system that this shows you is how.
80% of this book is reading and 20% of it is the actual doing, the reading sections provide an insight as to how you (not your brain) works, makes you see things inside you for yourself, with easy exercises along the way that are actually really really insightful when done. The final section is arming you with the tools to put these thinking styles together.
I am going through some tough times at the moment, it's fair to say, this book has been a revelation. I've obtained multiple versions for members of my family that are also going through some bad times.

I couldnt have been more wrong, this book REALLY IS DIFFERENT! from page one the author has you drawn in to his very easy to read, friendly and cleverly written text. The book helped me to understand how my mind worked and how my negative thinking about myself actually maintained my low self esteem and social anxiety.
Im still amazed at how quick the results have been with this book and even more so the lasting effects it has had on my life!

"Whew finally a book that helps" "Firstly what I want to say is thank you Rob. For the last 5-10 years I have felt my chips were down and that I had no control of my life, I criticised myself for my mistakes and was afraid of what others would say. I would wake up with a hangover a million regrets even when I wasn't drinking.
Sometimes I would be so angry on the outside but on the inside I was filled with fear of what people would think about me I I would go over and over the same things that had happened weeks/months/years or even decades ago. Has this changed my life? Yes and for all the right reasons I look to myself for the answers and I have lost none of the qualities that I knew I was good at before, I have built on them and added a new dimension to who I am, a self confidence and although early days it will be a permanent removal of self deprecation that was and is not required for a normal happy life. My family, friends and pets have all noticed that I am a more capable and better person.

Though I didn't think I had any particularly limiting beliefs but it was such an interesting read and I have been able to change the way that I tackle certain aspects of my life now I understand a little more about my character. It is written in a plain speaking style, but that does not mean that its content is lightweight. I'm an inquisitive person and now knowing why I act, behave and suffer in certain ways is a complete eye opener and understandable to me now. Six weeks ago, I had a mental break down. I was terribly depressed, anxious, hated everything, I mean everything around me. I felt down and down each day contemplating suicide. I suffer from LUPUS, ASTHMA, High blood pressure and have to take up to 25 tablets a day. I am a teacher. This is my 2nd Mental break down within one and a half years. For 47 years, I suffered from and lived in circle of depression and anxiety because I couldn't manage my thinking, feelings and imagination. I have blamed negative past and present events in my life to be responsible of my unhappiness instead of looking inside. In this book Rob refers it to as having a very high 'EXTERNAL LOCUS OF CONTROL'. As an artist, I lost interest in painting totally. As a result I created what Rob refers to in this book as 'Limiting Beliefs' i.e. low self esteem and social anxiety.
