Paul Douglass MIAPH Acc. - About Paul - Highgate, North London and North Cambridgeshire

Paul is a hypnotherapist and 'Pure' Hypnoanalyst, who practices at Avon Hypnotherapy's two practices, at Cambridge and Chatteris in Cambridgeshire.

His specialties include anxiety, social phobia and smoking cessation.

Hypnotherapy Training

Paul undertook his initial training in hypnotherapy, hypnoanalysis and psychotherapy with the Hypnotherapy Control Board, the largest hypnotherapy training school in Europe.

Having gained his qualifications in hypnotherapy and psychotherapy Paul was soon invited to become a full member of the International Association of Hypno-Analysts.

He is now a full-time hypnotherapist and psychotherapist, and an Accredited Member of the International Association of Pure Hypnoanalysts.

Members of the International Association of Pure Hypnoanalysts are bound by a strict code of ethics which not only ensures premium quality care, but also guarantees complete privacy and confidentiality for the client.

Members of the IAPH must also achieve a sufficient level of Continuing Professional Development, to ensure existing skills and techniques are constantly updated. Continuing Professional Development takes the form of advanced training and research in the fields of hypnosis, psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, and related areas.

Supervision and Support

Paul is a clinical supervisor to many other members of the IAPH.

In addition to this, Paul undergoes regular supervision of his own, which is a vital requirement of membership, and one to which all members of the association must adhere. International Association of 'Pure' Hypno-Analysts members also have background checks done as a criteria of membership.

The background checks are done through the Department of Health's POCALS system as well as the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) to ensure absolute client peace of mind.

Paul is now very pleased to have not only completed the International Association of Pure Hypnoanalysts Advanced Diploma Programme, but also to have been awarded Accredited Membership status within the IAPH.

"You are one of the best blokes that I have ever met, and I'm so happy my experience with you will be with me for the rest of my life.

I hope that you have got a fraction of the pleasure of meeting me, as I have done you mate. It has been without doubt the most interesting, and challenging thing I've ever done."

Mark - Buckinghamshire

Paul's other great interests are in art and music. He also a keen aquarist, plays the guitar, draws and paints.

As an interesting point of note, Paul's drawings and limited edition prints are in private collections all over the world, and his commissioned portraits have been shipped worldwide, although he now finds it difficult to find the time to take on new commissions.

In fact, Paul is also the only pencil drawing artist ever to be taken on by one of the UK's largest contemporary art publishers.
